Kat Lui of East Maui Watershed Partnership took watercolor artist/instructor Connie Adams and a group of artists to the Maile Trail in the Waikamoi Preserve, where we learned about conservation of the plants and spent the afternoon enjoying painting, the birds, and the silence. The Maile Trail is a unique area because it transitions from wet to mesic forest and is rich in biodiversity.
