“Well done on the hike and oli. I like the way you selected and organized your stops along the way and you did not talk too much! My experience as a tour guide is that often there is info overload for our adult visitors. It is best to select the stories and plants etc. for better retention and leave the rest to quiet reflection and input from the ambiance we which to cherish, or mālama.”

In support of Mālama Wao Akua Art Exhibition we have these special speakers coming to talk about conservation on Maui!

Thursday, Dec. 1st- Randy Bartlett (East Maui Watershed Partnership Program Manager)

Randyʻs Conservation career started in 1985 as a summer intern in the Resources Management Division at Hāleakala National Park. Since then he has spent almost 22 years as the Puʻu Kukui Watershed Preserve Manager for Maui Land & Pineapple Company and now serves as East Maui Watershed Partnership Program Manager.

Please bring your ready to hang artwork to Viewpoints Gallery in Makwao. Entry forms must be filled out in advance and can be found under “Printable Details” on our art show page here.

Entry Fees

Adult: $10 per entry(multiple entries are ok) Keiki: $5 per entry

Receiving Times:

Monday, November 7th; 5pm-8pm

Tuesday, November 8th; 9am-1pm

If you are unavailable to drop off during these times you may give your entry to someone else to bring in for you with your completed entry form, entry fees, and art piece/s. You will also need to arrange for pick up on November 9th if your piece is not selected.

Notification and Non-Selected Work Pick Up

You will be notified by telephone by Wednesday November 9th if your piece is selected or not.

Art pieces not selected will need to be picked up at Viewpoints Gallery Wednesday November 9th 10am-6pm

Aloha all,

On Monday Oct. 31st Skyline Eco-Adventures is offering their 3:00 and 3:30pm tours at a reduced rate of only $50!! And the money from each of those tours are given to the East Maui Watershed Partnership as a donation!! Wowie!

I can not think of a better way to help support the East Maui Watershed Partnership and have fun at the same time for a great price. And it just thappens to be on Halloween so I am sure you can wear your best costume as well.
